Had a lovely breakfast at the Chateau de Moulin-le-Comte: natural yoghurt with rhubarb jam, boiled eggs, fresh-baked French bread and delicious pastries (so good we asked if we could take the pain aux chocolat away with us for elevenses). As well as the rhubarb preserve there was also home-made strawberry jam, blueberry jam and marmalade.
Overall a great dog-friendly place to stop. Daisy even got a going-away present – which she promptly destroyed (sorry Cedric)! But she did appreciate the regular doggy biscuits.
Cedric said that the hotel is normally fully booked in November with English people stocking up on wine and cheese before Christmas. This year, bookings are right down, presumably because of the exchange rate increasing prices by 20% since the referendum.
