So Paola has left me in charge of the dog, the building work and the blog. She also left me with her cold and a speeding fine to pay.
I went round to the house took a few photos of the work in progress. They have completely demolished the bathroom upstairs now. Including knocking a hole through to the house next door! Luckily, it was just into their roof space, so no one will ever know (just you, and you won’t tell anyone I’m sure). We rescued the old loo and cistern from there to re-use in the utility room downstairs. (That has saved us enough to pay Paola’s speeding ticket.)
The old fireplace has now gone completely and they have also knocked down all the internal walls where our new kitchen is going to be, so we are getting a bit more of an idea what that will be like.
