Over the past few days in Palazzo Corgna, there have been a series of lectures by various historians on fashion in the medieval ages and into the Renaissance. Authors have discussed political, social and historical aspects of clothing. This was all a bit above our/my level of Italian comprehension. However, this evening it culminated in a fashion show of mens’ clothing through these ages accompanied of course, by some of the town’s prettiest girls dressed as the Greek muses in the background.
The narration and presentation was superb and a lot of effort had obviously gone into the whole thing. We arrived early and managed to nab a box quite near the stage and so had a good view. It was all free too.
